CESO lists 6,000 job seekers
SOME 5,948 jobseekers were registered by the Dagupan City Employment Service Office (CESO) during the last two quarters of 2011.
CESO referred 2,647 applicants for local vacancies and 1,862 entrants for international job openings, enabling them to have matching works with 365 various unoccupied posts and 48,061 positions solicited from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration’s (POEA) website.
Eighty-four among the local employment seekers successfully landed posts in companies in the city and within its vicinity.
Of the overseas job applicants, nine have been placed to work as nurses in Saudi Arabia, 132 were qualified for employment, three are now waiting for their visas, 148 were recommended for further vacancies and 112 advanced for further evaluation.
During the period, CESO conducted two career fairs and assisted 41 special recruitment activities, 20 of which were for local employers and 21 were for firms abroad.
