Barangay kagawad shot dead by tandem-riding killers
LINGAYEN—Another barangay official was shot dead by two men riding in tandem on a motorcycle in Barangay Camanbugan, Urbiztondo town at past midnight Friday.
The fatality was identified as Danilo Teniente, alias “Bisal”, barangay councilman of Pisuac, Urbiztondo.
Police investigation showed that Teniente was on his way home at about 12:35 a.m. to Pisuac from Barangay Baug, Urbiztondo, passing through Camanbugan on board a red Yamaha Vega motorcycle when he was fired upon by the unidentified suspects.
Teniente fell from his motorcycle after the first volley of fires but was able to stand up and fled to the adjacent house of one Ben Castro where he was tailed by the suspects who shot him three times more.
Investigators who rushed to the crime scene recovered five empty shells of Cal. 45 pistol.
The Urbiztondo police is still determining possible motive for the killing.
