72 new hires laud Pangasinan PESO

LINGAYEN—Another batch of job applicants who found employment through the Provincial Employment Services (PESO) were all praises to the provincial government and Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. after they were hired by an electronic company in Calamba, Laguna recently.

Thankful and excited, the 72 newly-hired employees of Optis Philippines, Inc. personally thanked Espino last Wednesday during a courtesy call.

John Libutag, an engineer from Mangaldan who was hired as a production engineer by Optis happily expressed his gratitude saying, “Thankful ako na natulungan ako ng provincial government na magkaroon ng magandang trabaho.”

Libutag said he is impressed how the province has been doing a great job in helping the youth and other Pangasinenses find employment.

Meanwhile, a 20-year old college graduate from San Fabian, Catherine Vinluan who was also hired by Optis as production operator, said she is “so blessed” that the province through the PESO gives opportunities to people to find employment and in effect help families, especially the poor, improve their living conditions.

Catherine said, “Dahil ito sa governor natin na si Gov. Espino na gumagawa ng paraan para magkaroon tayo ng ganitong mga oportunidad.”

As Espino congratulated the newly-hired workers, he also gave the Pangasinense workers P500 each as assistance to augment their needs when they start work with the electronic company on January 19.

Alex Ferrer, PESO manager, said “magandang panigo itong mga bagong hire na workers nitong 2012 because aside from Optis, Philippines,Inc., the Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Phils. also hired 103 workers from Pangasinan who are also scheduled to report for work very soon.”

Ferrer added that the aforementioned companies have been regularly recruiting workers from Pangasinan because workers from the province have been proven to be industrious employees.

The Red Dragon Farms has also recruited Pangasinan workers for various positions. (PIO)
