Pangasinan OKs P1.9 Billion budget
LINGAYEN –The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) approved last week the P1.988 billion budget proposed by the provincial government for 2012.
The SP’s approval came after two budget hearings conducted on November 22 and 23.
Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Calimlim Jr. said the board readily approved the proposal because all the requirements were completed and complied with by the provincial offices.
“Isa-isa po naming hinimay lahat ng office budgets, lahat ng proposed budgets for development,” Calimlim said.
He added that the proposed budget was “balanced and well-prepared”.
At the same time, Calimlim denied reports that the provincial government plans to trim down its employees.
“This is not true, ito ang huling gugustuhin ng ating governor,”Calimlim said. (PIO)
