Door-to-door info drive on RPT sought

TAYUG–Mayor Carlos Trese Mapili called for a door-to-door information campaign to drum up collection of Real Property Tax (RPT) among the town’s residents.

He made the call during a meeting of the Local School Board that set its 2012 budget at P1.3 million, the funding of which comes from part of the RPT collected by the municipality.

The budget covers personnel service, honoraria of two kindergarten teachers, maintenance and other operating expenses of the different public schools, supplies and others.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Carlos Lilagan, chairman of the committee on education of the Sangguniang Bayan, Dr. Nora Ramirez, OIC Supervisor for District 1, Dr. Virginia Maceda, Diastrict II supervisor and the president of the Parents-Teachers Association in District I Demetrio Gapasin.
