Conjoined twins born at R1MC

A CONJOINED twin was born at the caesarian section of Region 1 Medical Center at 9:00 p.m. on December 28.

The mother, 22-year old Charita Prestoza from Urdaneta City, named her newborns Sarah and Grace, a conjoined twin with two heads, two hearts, two legs, two spines and two livers.

Dr. Michael Canto, R1MC spokesman, said this was the fourth time in the history of the hospital that a conjoined twin was born.

However, one of the babies is in critical condition and is currently attached to a tube.

The conditions or the twin babies are being closely monitored by doctors.
