LINGAYEN–Doctors and nurses affiliated with the Federation of Pangasinenses ofΒ Guam (FOPOG, in partnership with the provincial government held a Medical and Minor Surgical Mission on November 14 to 19 in the towns of Natividad, Pozorrubio, Manaoag, Mapandan, Calasiao and San Carlos City.

Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr. said the six-day mission benefitted thousands of Pangasinenses who were in need of health assistance.

The project, according to Calimlim, complements the health program of Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr.’s administration seeking to provide quality and affordable health services to the marginalized sector of the province.

Dr. Anna Theresa De Guzman, PHO Chief, said the federation brought in six doctors while the provincial government sent its own team of doctors and nurses from the district and community hospitals to attend to the patients.

De Guzman said the province fully supports medical missions of local and overseas-based organizations and is prepared to assist by providing manpower and other resources.
