BAP slates Shakey’s volleyball clinic Nov. 18-23

THE Shakey’s V-League Dagupan Summer Camp will be held at the CSI Stadia on November 18 to 23 under the auspices of the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP) in the region headed by Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez as regional director.

The six-day volleyball clinic sponsored by pizza company Shakey’s will be held in cooperation with the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) through its Barkada Kontra Droga in Dagupan program, Department of Education, the Dagupan Sangguniang Panlungsod and the CSI Group of Companies.

The Shakey’s V-League, an intercollegiate women’s volleyball team in the Philippines formed in 2004, will conduct the clinic for girls from nine to 16 years old.

At least 500 slots are available throughout Region 1 with 400 of these reserved for volleybelles from the 31 barangays and schools in Dagupan.

Fernandez said Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, BAP national president, was invited to grace the opening of the event in the morning of Nov. 18.

BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT

BAP is also set to hold a 3-on-3-basketball tournament among the 31 barangays of Dagupan on the first week of December with the CSI the City Mall parking area and the Divine Word Academy of Dagupan gym as playing venues

Winners of the tournament will play against 3-on-3 basketball champions from other towns and cities in Pangasinan.
