PHILVOCS to hold training for CDRRM personnel

THE Technical Working Group of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) of Dagupan will undergo a five-day training from October 24-28 on the Rapid Earthquake Damage Assessment System (REDAS) to be supervised by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHILVOCS).

The city was devastated in July 1990 by a 7.2 intensity earthquake,

REDAS is a software that helps identify earthquake hazards.

Participants in the training program are representatives from the city agriculture office, city health, public order and safety, city planning and development, city budget, city social welfare and development, city engineer, waste management division, city information office, city mayor’s office, information communication technology, and the executive assistants for river/coastal protection and management and social services.
