Jazmyne dela Cruz Bacani crowned Ms. Pangasinan-USA
THE Pangasinan-Brotherhood-USA celebrated its 33rd anniversary foundation with the crowning of Jazmyne dela Cruz Bacani, who traces her roots in San Carlos City, as Miss Pangasinan-USA on Sept. 17 at the Holiday Inn-La Mirada.
Her royal court includes high school junior Mindy McNamara of Malasiqui, first runner-up; and Marie Camacho, a sophomore college student representing Alaminos City.
The pageant judges were journalist Lydia Solis, beauty specialist Novie Medina, Retired Los Angeles police detective Gene Dear, Sri Lankan community leader and former beauty queen June Dadwell and restaurant entrepreneur Pancho Villa.
Basista Mayor Lito De Leon and his wife Vicky presented the trophy to the queen.
The association’s other projects include the Ten Outstanding Pangasinan Entrepreneurs (TOPE) awards, and scholarship grants to under-privileged but deserving and academically-endowed college students from Basista, Mabini, Malasiqui and Mapandan.
