BIR ‘Premyo sa Resibo’ scratch cards out soon
SCRATCH cards for the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s (BIR) ‘Premyo sa Resibo’ promo will soon be available in the provinces after its launch in Metro Manila.
The scratch cards are another way to join the promo in addition to texting via mobile phones.
The Premyo sa Resibo is a BIR project to encourage consumers to always get an official receipt for purchases by offering cash rewards of P20 to as much as P1 million and other prizes.
The scratch cards can be purchased from authorized registration outlets and at the district and regional offices of the BIR.
Each card, which costs P20, gives a participant seven chances of winning.
Through texting, send PSR (space) TIN of official receipt of sales invoice (space) OR No. (space) Amount to 9777 for single entry or 9778 for multiple entries. Each entry costs P2.50.
Every P100 in the receipt is equivalent to one entry.
Carmelito Caday of the taxpayer assistance unit of the BIR regional office, speaking during the KBP Forum last Thursday, urged the buying public to always demand official receipts or invoices so that the government can collect the right amount of taxes and to join the promo for a chance to win prizes.
