PPI launches contests for 25th year celebration

REPORTERS of member publications of the Philippine Press Institute (PPI) can join the contests on slogan writing with graphics, feature or essay writing and mixed media presentation in line with the PPI’s silver anniversary celebration in April 2012.

The competitions, the first time that the PPI embarked on such an activity, is undertaken “in the spirit of fun and belongingness as one PPI family”.

A reporter can send only one entry for each category.

The slogan must capture the essence of the Institute, give an insight on PPI’s new direction and a representation of the uniqueness of PPI that sets it apart from other media organizations

The feature/essay must highlight PPI’s milestones from 1987 to present that made PPI an enduring and prestigious media organization written in not more than 1500 words but not less than 1,000 with a title

The 3-minute mixed media presentation, either a 35-slides show or PowerPoint presentation with no audio or an audio-visual presentation using moviemaker must capture the ‘heart and soul’ of PPI for 25 years and beyond and depict PPI through the years through photos, vignettes, and interviews.

The deadline for the submission of entries in all categories is July 29, 2011 before 12 midnight.

For the slogan and articles, email to ritchiehorario@yahoo.com. For the mixed media presentations, email to elyvalendez@gmail.com and eliseov@pcmall.com. The finalists for the mixed media category will be posted on the official PPI Facebook page.

Special prizes, including cash from sponsors, await the winners.
