MEMBERS of the Sangguniang Panlungsod and youth city legislators will hold a council session side by side on June 27.

Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez and Youth Vice Mayor Clarisse Mae Zaplan, a student of Mother Goose Special Science School System, will jointly call the session to order.

The nine regular members of the SP will sit side by side with the youth city councilors and discuss a common agenda.

The young councilors are Darren Ortiz, Zarena Ann Amado, Jhuliano Nazareno, Arielle Joy Torio, Kim John Santillan, Jerome Jason Manaois, Renz Luigi Villaroel, Kathleen Ann Seco, Chester Elvis Almonte, Jenny Ocampo, John Kristffer Robieza and Rajah Lyvester Dizon.

The youth councilors will present 16 draft resolutions while the regular members of the SP will present only two resolutions, one by Councilor Librada Reyna and the other by Councilor Jesus Canto.

Among the draft resolutions to be presented by the youth councilors, proposed by Villaroel, is one calling on the Public Order and Safety Office to look into the increasing number of colorum tricycles plying the city roads.

Another resolution proposed by Manaois seeks the establishment of pedestrian lanes, especially for senior citizens, persons with disabilities and pregnant mothers with traffic enforcers over-seeing the lane all the time.
