A 55-YEAR old drug dealer from Urdaneta City was nabbed by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 1 (PDEA RO1) Pangasinan Special Enforcement Team (PSET) on May 22 in a buy-bust operation.

Nestor Tubig, a resident of Barangay Dilan-Purtido in Urdaneta City, was arrested in the act of selling shabu to a PDEA undercover agent.

“We have long identified the suspect as a drug pusher and a member of a drug group operating in Pangasinan, his arrest would eventually lead to identification of his cohorts and the group’s neutralization,” said PDEA RO1 Regional Director Roberto Opeña.

The buy-bust operation yielded three sachets of shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia including the buy-bust money used in the transaction.

Tubig allegedly sold the illegal drug through text messages and using his residence as pick-up point.

“His boldness of conducting such transactions in his home in the presence of his family shows what kind of a man he is,” Opeña said.

Tubig has been charged with selling and possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
