SP sponsors bloodletting for PRC
A BLOOD-letting project of Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez and the Sangguniang Panlungsod, in coordination with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) chapter headed by Floramae Magalong, was held May 5 at the CSI the City Mall Atrium.
Dubbed “Commitment, Save and Improve (CSI)” project, the activity was part of the year-long celebration of the 25th Anniversary of CSI under its corporate and social responsibility program.
About 173 bags of blood were collected from volunteers, including some members of city council majority who supported the project.
Magalong lauded Fernandez for her active support to the programs and projects of PRC, citing the vice mayor and her family’s Jimmy Fernandez Foundation donation of P350,000 for the local blood center’s extension building.
