Municipal treasurers get training on RPT payment computerization
LINGAYEN–To ensure a systematic flow of Real Property Tax (RPT) collection, the provincial government conducted a two-day training on the RPT payment computerization scheme for municipal treasurers.
The training, held May 26-27, was undertaken in coordination with Deutsche Gesselschaft fur Internationale Zusammernarbeit (GIZ).
Management Information and Services Office Chief Modesto Singson said municipal treasurers from all towns in Pangasinan were invited to attend said training together with their staff, specifically Information Technology staff and encoders.
The training covered topics on how to update the RPT payment status, capture the delinquencies of the taxpayer, and the issuance of RPT official receipts using the Integrated Tax-Real Property Tax Administration (ITAX) System.
The ITAX is a project of the provincial government, started last year with the German Technical Cooperation Agency, to improve and strengthen the good fiscal management of the local government units of Pangasinan through fiscal decentralization and local financial management. (PIO)
