THE City Supermarket Inc. (CSI) will celebrate its silver anniversary on May 16, marking the company’s 25th continuous service to the people of Dagupan City, Pangasinan and Ilocos Region.

Dagupan City Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez, president and chairman of the board of CSI Group of Companies, said CSI owes its growth and success over the last 25 years to the people of Dagupan and Pangasinan.

“Their support for the company has been tremendous and CSI would like to give back to the community the benefits with even lower and affordable prices of products,” she said. .

Fernandez recalled how the company started, from its humble beginning as a small bakery run by her grandparents and later transformed into a grocery later by her parents.

The grocery grew and expanded as a supermarket operation, eventually as everyday stores and warehouse clubs then as malls. She attributed the success to the patience, hard work, patience, honesty and frugality in the hands of the new generations of Fernandezes.

Throughout the years, CSI made sure its customers were offered lowest prices possible for all their purchases and still were given chances to win raffle prizes regularly.

At the same time, CSI also provided sari-sari stores offers wholesale prices to enable them to earn bigger profit margins while remaining competitive.

“At CSI, we make make sure that customers get the lowest price and the most value of their money,” Fernandez said.

The vice mayor and her family acknowledge that without the support of their fellow Dagupenos and their valued customers and suppliers, CSI would not be what it is today.

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, CSI will give away hundreds of prizes for families’ entertainment in their raffle promos.
