“GALI-LANGOY” ECO-ADVENTURE RACE

ALAMINOS CITY–A unique athletic event dubbed “Gali-Langoy” Eco-Adventure Race will be staged for the first time here on April 25 to May 1 as the highlight of the city’s Pista’y Dayat celebration.

Gali-Langoy will be a triathlon of sorts with island-to-island swimming, parao (sailboat) racing and kayak racing as the featured sports.

Mayor Hernani Braganza, who initiated the project, said this is another event that he hopes will continue to attract tourists to the popular Hundred Islands National Park while promoting environmental protection.

The seven-stage competition spread over four days is open to teams composed of three swimmers, three parao racers and one kayak racer.
