TESDA intensifies Tech-Voc education
THE Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) office in Pangasinan has intensified its technical-vocational education campaign through the Pangasinan Association of Private-Tech-Voc Institutions (PAPTVI).
The initial dialogue was held during the association’s induction of its officers in Lingayen town that was attended by more than 100 school heads and representatives from different schools.
Regional Director Washington Agustin, the event’s guest of honor, discussed the agency’s new platform, dubbed ’Real Deal TVET’, which focuses on the ‘seek-find-train-certify-employ’ strategy.
Agustin said this is intended to empower trainees with quality skills training for self-reliance and employment.
For his part, newly elected PAPTVI president Andres Justino Abalos of the Instituto Centro Asia encouraged all tech-voc schools in the province to be members of the PAPTVI to further promote tech-voc education. (PIA-Pangasinan)
