Duque elected new PPC prexy
ATTY. Gonzalo Duque, columnist of The Sunday Punch, was unanimously elected president of the Pangasinan Press Club by the newly constituted board of directors last February 16.
Duque, also president of Lyceum-Northwestern University, headed the Reformist Party that won most of the seats for the PPC board of directors in an election held earlier at the Sangguniang Panlungsod session hall.
Elected executive vice president was Ashok Vasandani, columnist of Northern Times, with Jun Velasco, also a columnist of The Punch and national broadsheet Manila Bulletin, as vice president for print, and Raul ‘Insiong’ Tamayo as vice president for broadcast.
Elected secretary was Rhee Fer Hortaleza; Ike Palinar of Manaoag Chronicle, treasurer; and Jessie Perez of USATV, auditor.
The directors are Orly Navarro, Aksyon Radyo; Ruben Rivera, Northern Times; Macky Delgado, DWPR; Celso Manuel, DZAI-FM; Charles Tabayoyong, Regional Examiner; Ruel Camba, Regional Examiner; Andy Estrada, Regional Examiner; and Allan Sison, ex-officio member.
