Decano elected new IBP chapter prexy

LAWYER Farah G. Decano was elected president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Pangasinan chapter last February 26.

Decano, a former three-term councilor of Dagupan City, was unopposed in the election, together with all her fellow officers.

Decano is the second woman elected president of the IBP Pangasinan chapter following  the late former Vice Governor Nancy Q. Sison, wife of the late Justice Porfirio Sison.

Interviewed after her election, Decano said, “Definitely, we would like to make the IBP chapter one of the premier IBP chapters in the whole country.”

She said she would also like to make the IBP chapter more relevant to the community.

Other elected IBP officers are lawyers January Ragudo, vice president; Edward Cham, secretary; Teodora Cerdan, treasurer; Elvira de Vera, auditor; and Joseph Samson, press relations officer.

Members of the board of directors are lawyers Mamilo Royulada, Baby Ruth Torre, Christopher Castro, Magdalena Erfe and Rowena de Vera. Ex-officio member of the board is Atty. Rafael Martinez, outgoing president.
