RARE PHOTOS OF GULF LANDING–Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas views the rare photos on the Lingayen Gulf landing taken by Charles DeMay, a member of the 131st U.S. Naval Construction Battalion that landed in Lingayen as part of the liberation forces led by General Douglas MacArthur on January 9, 1945. Unveiled during the celebration of the 66th Lingayen Gulf Landings and Pangasinan Veterans’ Day last January 10, the photos will be on exhibit from January 10 to 19 at the Veterans’ Memorial Park in Lingayen and January 21-23 at SM Rosales.
