Cancer treatment in Pangasinan available
FINALLY, cancer patients in Pangasinan no longer need to travel to Metro Manila for their needed treatment and therapy.
The Dagupan Doctors Villaflor Cancer Institute at the Dagupan Doctors Villaflor Memorial Hospital has announced it is now prepared to offer cancer radiation therapy through linear accelerator.
The only such service offered in Pangasinan and the first in Northern Luzon, DDVCI has made it possible by acquiring a brand new Varian Clinac CX Accelerator for its patients.
The modern machine features multi-energy selection (dual photo and four electron energies for more comprehensive treatment options, a multi-leaf Collimator for conformal shaping of treatment beams, computerized treatment planning system capable of conformal technique and laser-guided CT scan simulation for reproducible, stable and accurate patient positioning.
