Barbie returns with 3rd runner-up int’l title
MUTYA ng Pilipinas 2010 titleholder Barbara “Barbie” Salvador, a daughter of Pozorrubio town, was back in the province last week with her international title as Ms. Cosmopolitan International 2010 for having won as 3rd runner-up in the Ms. Tourism International 2010.
In a courtesy call to Governor Amado Espino Jr., Barbie said she is happy for the privilege of representing the country and is “proud to be a Pangasinense”.
The governor thanked Barbie for bringing pride to Pangasinan and congratulated her on her achievements.
“Ang sarap maging Pangasinense kasi grabe ang suporta talagang nasa likod mo ang buong Pangasinan”, she said.
Barbie competed against 55 candidates from all over the world in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last December 31.
The beauty queen said as a Pangasinense and a Mutya ng Pilipinas, she will do the best she can to help promote the province’s tourism program.
