THE Board of Trustees of the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) of Pangasinan approved last week the official appointment of Juanito G. Bacani, Jr. as its general secretary and chief executive officer.

Bacani, who served as the local chapter’s  officer-in-charge since November 2010, is formerly the general secretary of the YMCA of La Union and program secretary of the Makati YMCA.

Jimmy started his active involvement with the Dagupan City-based YMCA in 1982 as a youth club member, YMCA collegiate scholar, and volunteer staff.

He represented the Pangasinan YMCA and the Philippine YMCA Movement in various capacities in conferences and trainings  held in the country and overseas.- Philamer C. Celi
