OFFICIALS and staff of the municipal government and people from the town of Bugallon lit candles and sang Christmas hymns on December 16 as a way of marking the Christmas season.

Led by Bugallon Mayor Rodrigo Orduna, president of the Mayor’s League of Pangasinan, the activity was in compliance with the memorandum of the national resident of the Mayor’s League of the Philippines asking municipalities to highlight Filipino traditions in the celebration of Christmas.

The initiative is in partnership with the Galing Pilipino Movement (GMP), a non-government organization which aims to stir the nation in recognizing its good values.–Guia Charissa Cerezo, Colegio de Dagupan
