SIX Rotary Clubs have donated 17 sacks of rice for victims in Dagupan City of the recent typhoon “Juan”.

“We have earlier released five sacks of rice each to the Rotary Clubs of Calasiao, Sta. Barbara and San Fabian who were similarly weather-beaten by the typhoon and the remaining 17 is for our fellow Dagupeños,” said Rotary District Secretary Edwin Aguirre.

Aguirre said the donation, which was received by Mayor Benjamin Lim, was drawn from the district’s calamity fund through District Governor Manny Yu of District 3790 of Rotary International.

Lim previously received P100,000 worth of packed goods from the Pangasinan Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce led by Mr. George Chua Cham. Other donors were the Philippine Red Cross, which gave 25 boxes of biscuits; GMA Kapuso Foundation, 235 packs of relief goods; and 4^th District Rep. Gina De Venecia, 246 packs of relief goods.
