CSI expands to Rosales
ROSALES–All is set for the construction of a CSI Supermarket at the Poblacion here, which will be the 12th branch of the City Supermarket Inc. chain.
Dagupan City Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez, president of the CSI Group of Companies, said the plan was finalized after meeting with Rosales Mayor Ricardo Revita last Wednesday.
Revita, now on his third and last term as mayor of this town, also home to an SM City, welcomed CSI’s entry in Rosales.
Fernandez hailed the administration of Revita for being “very business-friendly”, making the once sleepy town a beehive of economic activities today.
Construction of CSI Rosales is set to start by the first quarter of 2011 and Fernandez gave assurance that 80 per cent of the employees who will be hired for CSI Rosales Supermarket will be sourced from the town’s labor force.
Meanwhile, CSI Tayug, also in eastern Pangasinan, is now under construction.
Fernandez said her company wants to empower the retailers, particularly the sari-sari store owners, by offering them low wholesale prices.—LM
