THE Department of Social Welfare and Development will hold a forum for Pangasinan media practitioners on laws related to adoption on October 22 at the JG’s Restaurant on De Venecia Expressway.

DSWD Regional Director Leonardo Reynoso said the forum will highlight the salient features of Republic Act No. 8552, also known as the “Domestic Adoption Law of 1998,” and Republic Act No. 8043 or the “Inter-Country Adoption Law of 1996.”

Reynoso said the forum will help media practitioners understand and be aware of the processes involved in adoption.

“We also want to strengthen the ties and partnership with you for the advocacy on Alternative Parental Care,” he added.
