FILIPINAS Wado Ryu Karate once again played an inspired game, collecting 5 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze in the DBL karate cup held October 9, 2010 at Philsports Arena, Ultra, Pasig City.

DBL Karate cup, a program of the Philippine Karate Federation, was held in recognition and celebration of the 50th birthday of David Lay, the Philippine team national coach.

Leading the medal harvest is national Champion John Enrico Vasquez who won two Gold, in both kata and kumite event.

National champion John Matthew Manantan also won gold in Kumite and bronze Kata, while Kristelle Zabala won gold Kata and bronze kumite, and Gilbert Arellano of Great Heritage won gold Kata.

Silver medalists were Mark Andrew Manantan, Keiffer Espino, Alexis Louise Nunez and Jalil Magandia while Eljay Jose copped a bronze.
