1,000 jobseekers attend CSI’s Jobs Fair
SOME 350 local jobseekers out of 1,000 applicants landed jobs during a job fair last week called “Trabaho at Iba Pa” at CSI the City Mall, participated in by 45 companies.
The job fair, organized by CSI in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Trade and Industry and other government agencies, sought to recruit 800-workers for local employment and 200 workers for overseas employment.
Recruited for overseas jobs included positions for engineers, nurses, domestic helpers and many others.
The local jobs available were for the positions of managers, sales clerks.
Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez welcomed the applicants who came from various towns in the province.
DOLE, DTI, National Statistics Office, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, Overseas Employment Workers Welfare Administration cooperated by providing pre-qualification requirements needed by the applicants, such as birth certificates, and other clearances.
