TeaM Energy gives project grants to 4 POs

ALAMINOS City–TeaM Energy Corporation, operator of the Sual coal-fired power station, awarded grants to four people organizations (POs) in the First District for the 2010 Kompetisyon sa Kaunlaran (Paligsahan para sa Pag-unald ng Pamayanan).

This year’s winning POs are: Patnubay Multi-Purpose Cooperative (Alaminos City) for their Patnubay Travelling Rice Mill; Alaminos National High School MPC, Educational Assistance Loan; Doliman Multi-Purpose Cooperative (Doliman, Infanta), Kaing Production; Balincaguin Conservancy, Inc. (Mabini), Development of Mabini Caves Management Plan (MCMP) towards Protection and Sustainable Management.

The winning organizations will get financial grants from TeaM Energy ranging from P110,000 to P230,000, depending on their project scope.

In addition, 1st District Rep. Jesus Celeste committed P20,000 each for all the winning organizations.

The Kompetisyon sa Kaunlaran, now on its third year, aims to empower locally-based organizations in taking initiative to enhance and influence developmental outcomes within their communities in the areas of education, health, livelihood and environment.
