Fishpond owners’ group organized
OFFICERS of the newly organized Fishpond Owners/Operators of Dagupan City will take their oath before Mayor Benjie Lim on September 6.
The group aims to champion the cause of legal fish pen owners and help in the dismantling of illegal fish pens.
They also plan to create a multi-purpose cooperative and a mechanism to check the entry of inferior bangus from other places.
The officers are former Association of Barangay Councils president Alfredo Dawana, president; Ping Meneses, vice president external; Jerry Cayabyab, VP internal; Ramon Santillan, secretary; Magdalena Valdez, treasurer; Cris Velasco, PRO; Roberto Santillan, auditor 1; Ernesto Velasco, auditor 11; Bernardo Maramba, sergeant-at-arms.
The advisers are Jun Velasco, Barangay Chairman Angel Gumarang, Roger Ceralde, and Allan Bautista.
