Macanlalay is VM league

LINGAYEN–Vice Mayor Roy Macanlalay of Calasiao ran unopposed as president of the Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines chapter in Pangasinan in an election held last August 17, supervised by the Department of Interior and Local Government provincial office.

Macanlalay, a former three-term mayor of his town, succeeds Vice Mayor Jose Espino of Bautista who opted not to seek reelection.

Elected Executive vice president is Vice Mayor Nilo Costales of Vilasis who prevailed in a three-cornered fight with Vice Mayor Editha Hallare of Lingayen and Vice Mayor Cesar Manzano of Alaminos City.

Hallare became vice president for internal Affairs while Manzano is vice president for external affairs.

The district vice presidents are: Vice Mayor Virgilio Vallarta of Infanta, first district; Vice Mayor Haidee Soriano of Urbiztondo, second district; Vice Mayor Joseres Resuello of San Carlos City, third district; Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez of Dagupan City, fourth district; Vice Mayor Dick Villar of  Sto. Tomas, fifth district; and Vice Mayor Moises Hortaleza of Sta. Maria, sixth district.

Vice Mayor Minda Peralta of Balungao was elected unopposed as secretary general, along with Vice Mayor Siony Calimlim of Mapandan, teasurer; Vice Mayor Bernardo de Vera of Bugallon, auditor; and Vice Mayor Ryan Mencias of Alcala, press relations officer.

Members of the board of directors are Vice Mayors Wilson Rosete of Agno and Alimar Briana of Mabini, first district; Vice Mayor Pedro Merrera of Binmaley; Vice Mayors Raymunbdo Santos of Sta. Barbara, and Melvin Junio, Bayambang, third district; Vice Mayors Bernardo Abalos of Mangaldan and Kim Amador of Manaoag, fourth district; Onofre Gorospe of Urdaneta City and Fernando Soriano of Laoac, fifth district; and Vice Mayors Eleanor Viray of Asingan; and Madelyn Cabotaje Ramirez of Tayug, sixth district.–LM
