ALAMINOS CITY–Three Sudanese students vacationing at the Governor’s Island in the Hundred Islands group last week were arrested and booked by the police for smoking marijuana.

Of the three, only two were identified in a police report as Ali Mohamed Salah Dafalla and Mohamed Nesriden Mohamed, both 21 and students from Baguio City.

The three were reported to the police by two women whom they invited but who later decided to leave the foreign students.

The ladies said the Sudanese students attempted to force them to smoke marijuana but they refused.

Elements of the Public Safety Management Company, Provincial Intelligence Branch and the Alaminos Police, on order of Superintendent Rolie Saltat, chief of police, immediately responded and caught the suspects in the act of smoking marijuana.

The three were subsequently charged on Tuesday for violation of the Anti-Drugs Law before the Provincial Prosecutors Office here.–LM
