POZORRUBIO–About 60,000 tilapia fingerlings from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist arrived here last week for dispersal in open fresh waters in the municipality.

The target areas are along the communal irrigation systems of Amagbagan, Bobonan and Banding; the Bued River passing through Manaol, Malokiat, Tulnac, and Malasin; Talogtog Creek, and; the small water impounding projects of Limansangan.

The tilapia dispersal project is a joint undertaking of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist and the municipal government under Mayor Emma Zosima Chan in support of the fishery stock enhancement project of inland bodies of waters.–jvillamil.
