Most incumbent mayors re-elected
LINGAYEN–Most of the incumbent mayors in the province, under the party of re-elected Governor Amado Espino Jr. and those belonging to other parties supporting him, were re-elected.
These are led by three unopposed mayoralty candidates, namely: Vivien Villar (Sto. Tomas), Amado Espino III (Bautista) and Rodrigo Orduna (Bugallon).
Mapandan’s Maximo Calimlim Jr., a retired police general and a neophyte in politics, also won unopposed as mayor.
The reelected mayors are: Alfonso Celeste (Bolinao), Noel Nacar (Dasol), Ruperto Martinez (Infanta), Carlitos Reyes (Mabini), John Rodney Arcinue (Sual), Teodoro Cruz (Mangatarem), Ernesto Castaneda (Lingayen), Ernesto Balolong (Urbiztondo), Napoleon Sales (Manaoag), Herminio Romero (Mangaldan), Armando Domantay (Malasiqui), Julier Resuello (San Carlos City), Manuel Collado (Alcala), Ricardo Revita (Rosales), Leoncio Saldivar III (San Nicolas), Carlos Trese Mapili (Tayug) and Eldred Tumbucon (Umingan).
Interestingly, two new mayors in the group bore the same first names and family names but have different middle initials. They are Mayor-elect Ricardo O. Camacho (Labrador) and re-elected Mayor Ricardo M. Camacho (Bayambang).
Other re-electionists who won but did not run under aegis of Espino were: Mayor Hernani Braganza (Alaminos City) and Mayor Marcelo Navarro Jr. (Bani).
The new mayors in the province are: Silverio Alarcio Jr. (Laoac), Alberto Guiang Jr. (Burgos), Mark Roy Macanlalay (Calasiao), Rafael Rodrigo Jr. (Natividad), Teodoro Ramos (Sta. Maria) Romulo Antolin (San Quintin), Alain Jerico Perez (San Manuel), Robert De Vera (San Jacinto), Irene Libunao (San Fabian);
Benjamin Lim (Dagupan City), Libradita Abrenica (Villasis), Artemio Chan (Pozorrubio), Gregorio Amadeo Perez IV (Urdaneta City), Mina Joy Pangasinan (Sison), Ramon Guico III (Binalonan), Lorenzo Cerezo (Binmaley), Carlito Zaplan (Sta. Barbara), Eduardo Ballesteros (Aguilar), Aldrin Celdran (Anda), Heidee Chua (Asingan), Manolito de Leon (Basista) and Philipp Peralta (Balungao).
Results of canvassing in Agno remain unknown at presstime.
