TeaM Sual Corporation operates the 1,218MW Sual Coal-fired Thermal Power Station located here. It is an affiliate of TeaM Energy, one of the largest private producers of electricity in the country with more than 2,000 megawatts (MW) of installed generating capacity.

The company said the award is a testament to TeaM Sual Corporation’s unwavering commitment to comply with the provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Standards.

TeaM Sual Corporation and Sual Power Station are currently the only company and power station in the Ilocos Region to hold this safety excellence record.

Safe man-hour refers to the number of hours a worker is able to complete his/her task without any accident resulting in temporary or permanent disabling injuries.
