THE newly inaugurated Philippine/Dagupan-Korea Seafood Processing Plant will have more modern facilities than most seafood processing plants in Korea.

This was bared by Dagupan City Manager Alvin Fernandez who was among the officials invited to Seoul, Korea to observe the operations of seafood processing plants early this year.

He said their host gave them a tour to Korea’s best processing plants and he observed that the newly built seafood processing plant in sitio Russia, Bonuan Gueset was even more modern than its proto-type projects in Korea.

Fernandez said once operational, the newly-inaugurated plant will become the center of seafood processing technology in the entire Northern Luzon.

He is confident that the project, financed from a grant of   P2.2 million from the Korean government, will boost small and medium entrepreneurs engaged in wholesale and retail.

Employing the most modern equipment for hygiene, the project will ensure the production of quality controlled processed fish food for both domestic and global markets.-LM
