Apr. 5, a non-working holiday

LINGAYEN–April 5 has been officially declared a special non-working day in Pangasinan by the Office of the President through Proclamation No. 2033, for the celebration of the province’s 430th Founding Anniversary.

Signed by Executive Secretary Leandro R. Mendoza on March 31, the proclamation will enable the people of Pangasinan the full opportunity to celebrate the founding day of their province with appropriate ceremonies.

Pangasinan Day, or Agew na Pangasinan, was established through Provincial Ordinance 143-2010 passed by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan on February 15, 2010 and signed by Governor Amado Espino, Jr. on the same day.–LM
