NIGHTLY GAMBLING IN THE BARANGAYS—The ‘drop ball’ tables in Barangay Bonuan Gueset in Dagupan City are like abandoned equipment by day but are actually the center of nightly gambling as in many parts of the province. The Drop-Ball, a violation of PD 1602 (Anti-Illegal Gambling Law), has proliferated in the city and in the province reportedly with the protection of local police and barangay officials.
