LINGAYEN–Candidates of the ruling party LAKAS-KAMPI CMD led by presidential bet Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro and vice presidential aspirant Edu Manzano were here in the capital town last week for a campaign rally in vote-rich Pangasinan.

An estimated 20,000 crowd flocked to the Narcos Ramos Sports and Civic Center where Governor Amado Espino Jr. led the throng of local leaders and supporters who welcomed the LAKAS party.

Teodoro, in his speech, cited Espino as a “real action man”, who hardly bothered him when he was still the Defense Secretary, particularly during several typhoons that hit the province.

“…Emong, Pepeng…lahat na ng bagyo, lahat na ng problema, bumabangon kaagad ang Pangasinan dahil energetic at masipag ang inyong Governor,” Teodoro said.

The crowd cheered him each time he addressed then with Ilocano and Pangasinan words and when labeled as kuneng” and “makapoy so ulo to” a person who would not support Espino and allow him continue with a second term in office.

Pangasinan, Teodoro said, has a huge opportunity and chance for progress and development despite the challenges hurled by nature.

He added that the national government is indebted to Pangasinan for helping the country remain self-sufficient in rice, corn and fish requirements as he acknowledged that support for the province’s progress and development are long overdue.

Senatorial hopefuls Ramon Guico and Raul Lambino, both sons of Pangasinan, Rey Langit and Jolo Revilla, son of Sen. Bong Revilla, were also present and bared their programs and platform of governance.—LM
