GAB starts campaign sortie

THE GAB team – acronym for Gina de Venecia, Alipio Fernandez Jr., and Belen Fernandez — launched its campaign early Friday morning with a feeding program in Barangay Salisay in Dagupan City.

Mrs. Venecia is running for the position that her husband will vacate while the two Fernandezes are both seeking re-election in the city.

The other GAB members are Councilors Alfie Fernandez, Librada Reyna, Luis Samson Jr., Jesus Canto, Alfredo Quinto Sr. and Karlos Reyna, former Councilor Alex de Venecia, Maybelyn Fernandez, Jigs Seen and Alvin Coquia

The barangay folk were served noodles, mixed with chicken meat and vegetables in bowls of steaming hot soup, while members of the GAB team walked around the neighborhood accompanied by their supporters.

Mrs. De Venecia said Salisay, the city’s easternmost barangay, was chosen as the location for their initial campaign sortie because they believe “that luck would smile on them if they start their campaign salvo in the east before the sun rises”.

From Salisay, the GAB team held a motorcade through Barangay Bolosan, Mamalingling, Mangin, Tebeng, Caranglaan, Bacayao Sur, Bacayao Norte, Herrero-Perez East and winded through downtown Dagupan.

A special mass for GAB was held in Bonuan Binloc at 12 noon before Mrs. de Venecia had a meeting with 140 barangay chairmen from the 4th District, covering Dagupan, Mangaldan, San Fabian, San Jacinto and Manaoag.—LM
