Noynoy’s ladylove makes her pitch
LIBERAL Party presidential candidate and bachelor Senator Benigno Aquino III is certainly not going it alone in his bid for the presidency. His ladylove is with him all the way.
While the campaign period is still a couple of months away, the winsome Shalani Soledad, a councilor from Valenzuela City, has began visiting friends in various parts of the country to make a pitch for Noynoy’s candidacy.
Soledad, who can easily be mistaken for a movie star, was in Dagupan last week at the invitation of the widow of the late Atty. Antonio de Venecia, and children led by the eldest, former Councilor Alex de Venecia, who is staging a comeback as councilor of Dagupan City.

Soledad said one of her uncles and Antonio de Venecia were good friends.
Soledad, herself running for a third and final term as councilor, said the LP urged her to run for a seat in Congress but decided to just seek re-election in order to help her Noynoy in his campaign.
In an interview with members of the local media, she coyly smiled each time she was referred to as the future first lady of the Philippines.
Asked if she and Noynoy already have an altar date, she again giggled and replied, “You will be the first to know.”—LM
