CALASIAO—Rep. Ma. Rachel Arenas, who is running for a second term in the May poll, has vowed to continue pouring in funds for infrastructure projects in the 3rd district if re-elected.

“Even as my detractors did nothing but to criticize my work, the P1.5 billion worth of infrastructure projects I have so far delivered to my district the past two and a half years are enough to prove them wrong,” said Arenas, adding that credit is due in large part to outgoing President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo for being instrumental in realizing the projects she pursued.

Arenas said her accomplishment in her district is unprecedented.

“I wanted to prove to all how a woman can lead this district to progress,” she said.

She added that another P100-million worth of various infrastructure projects are scheduled for implementation in February.#
