LINGAYEN—Some 211 police non-commissioned Officers (PNCOs) in Pangasinan were recently promoted to the next higher rank.

The PNCOs received insignias for their new rank during a flag-raising ceremony led by Police Provincial Director Percival Barba with Dagupan City Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez as guest of honor and speaker.

Barba said those promoted, ranging in rank from Police Officer 1 to Police Officer 3, earned their next higher rank through good performance over the years in service.

He hailed the PNCOs as the “work horse” of the Police Provincial Office in towns and cities.

For her part, Fernandez called on the PNCOs to work even harder as their promotion entails additional responsibilities.

Fernandez attributed the relative peace and order situation of the province to an alert police force, conscious of their duties and responsibilities as peace officers.

She said businessmen are not afraid to invest in Dagupan City, the province’s commercial center, because of the excellent peace and order condition.–LM
