WHEN THE CALESA WAS KING—This picture, now on exhibit at the Villasis Municipal Hall, was shot by veteran news photographer Jose Sarmiento (inset) in Villasis town in the early 50s depicting how life was when tricycles were unheard of and the calesa lorded it in the streets.
