Sta. Barbara’s lady PO3 is RP’s Top 10

STA. BARBARA–PO3 Rose Poserio of Sta. Barbara was adjudged among the “Ten Outstanding Policewomen of the Philippines” (TOPWP).

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo presented the award to Poserio and nine other awardees in a ceremony held in Malacanang on Wednesday.

Poserio represented the Pangasinan Police Office and Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Office I in the TOPWP search.

Chief PNP Director General Jesus Verzosa, who assisted the President in handing out the awards, lauded the awardees for their dedication and commitment to duty and thanked the organizers for the continued success of the awards program that began in 2002.

The other TOPWP awardees are P/Superintendent Lailene Amparo, Chief of Police, Marilao, Bulacan; Chief Inspector Delia Ingalla, Taguig City; P/ Sr. Insp. Lerma Tirana, Regional Police Community Relations Division, NCRPO; SPO1 Marifel Cortez, Butuan City; PO3 Judith Olbes, Sorsogon; PO3 Zoraida Aripin, Zamboanga City; PO3 Lilybeth Pascual, Camarines Sur; PO2 Rina Salaya, Maasin Iloilo; and PO2 Famela Suba, Cabiao, Nueva Ecija.

“I congratulate all the winners and commend the Zonta Club of Makati Paseo de Roxas for organizing this annual search that recognizes the exemplary role of our female police officers in various fields of policing such as law enforcement, peacekeeping, public safety, criminal justice and community relations”, the PNP Chief said.–LM
