SAN CARLOS CITY–The Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation (VMUF) reaffirmed its high standards in medical education when three of its fresh graduates landed in 4th, 5th and 10th places in the X-Ray Technologist Licensure Examination given last November by the Board of Radiologic Technology of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

The three VMUF graduates, among the 28 successful examinees out of the 99 takers, are Mark Gil Noveloso, 4th placer from Alcala; Dahlia Tenorias, 5th placer from Mapandan; and Sheryl Ann Aquino, 10th placer from Santa Maria.

Another VMUF graduate, Ervin Aranas of San Carlos City, also passed the exam.

Mary Ann Solis, program coordinator of the college of radiologic technology said the VMUF also produced two x-ray technologists’ board placers in 2008. They were Belinda Shahani Puquiz, 6th placer from Mangatarem; and Corazon Agustin, 8th placer from Urdaneta City.

VMUF president, Dr. Ma. Lilia Posadas-Juan, congratulated the new board placers and the new x-ray technologists for adding another feather to the VMUF cap.  She also commended Solis and the entire teaching force of the college of radiologic technology for maintaining the academic excellence of the university.

The VMUF School of Radiology is the only school of radiology in northern Luzon that had 3 examinees in the Top 10 List in the recent X-ray Technology board examinations.

There are 54 schools of radiology nationwide.
