DAGUPAN Vice Mayor Belen Fernandez, chairman of the CSI Group of Companies, has assured that prices of commodities being sold by her family-owned City Supermarket Inc. will not increase following the 10/9 flooding in the province.

“I assure the public that there will be no increase in prices of commodities in all the CSI branches,” Fernandez said even as several of CSI stores also went under water.

Fernandez, speaking during the “Engkwentro sa Lenox” of the Pangasinan Press Club on

Tuesday, also called on the public to refrain panic-buying as there are enough goods in stock.

She said CSI has received guarantees from suppliers that they will deliver additional supply for the duration of the emergency.

Fernandez enjoined the local media and the public to report to the Department of Trade and Industry all business establishments that have raised their prices in violation of the ongoing price control.—LM
